Our Goal
Happy Hearts Before and After school program is a play-based program focused on developing children’s social, emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being.
Our goal is to create a community in Westhill that is a safe, inclusive, and a loving environment for both children and parents to be in. We strive to give your children opportunities to find what they are passionate about and gain knowledge about topics they want to learn about. We will be a place where your child will be able to explore different cultures, make new friends, engage in physical activities both indoor and outdoor, learn life skills such as problem solving, communication, how to cope with stress and emotions. We welcome everyone, from all walks of life to come join our Happy Hearts Community.

All students K-8 are eligible to use the program. Please check with your school’s transportation provider to confirm eligibility for bussing.

Daily Activities
Each month will have a new theme.
Mornings will have time to eat breakfast (not provided) and we will strive to have a calming atmosphere. Books, lego, puzzles, board games, card games, and crafts will be available to choose from. This will be a time to connect with your child through get to know you questions and just time spent chatting.
Afternoons will be time for activities such as gym time, outdoor games, minute to winit games, and learning opportunities such as baking and sports. There will always be access to craft supplies to encourage creative thinking and fine motor skills.
Physical Activity
We recognize that children need to be given a chance to move and let out physical energy, we have a mini-gym in the basement of our church which will be utilized as needed.
Our teachers are also passionate about the outdoors and know how important fresh air and space is to children. There is a playground right beside our parking lot and a large field where the children can organize a game or just run around.
The main area: This has board games, puzzles, building items, basic crafts, and coloring materials and books.
The gym/outside: children can play soccer, floor hockey, games like jackpot. They may choose to just run around, all children are supervised by a staff member and are encouraged to play fairly and to involve everyone who would like to play.
The craft area: we love to create, design and invent projects by using a variety of different crafts supplies in this wonderful space.
TEACHER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DAYS
We are open all these days! We would be thrilled to be able to spend a whole day with your children, creating, playing games, eating lunch with them, learning, and everything in between.

Mornings (7am – bussing to school): $200/month
Afternoons (bussing from school – 6pm): $250/month
Kindergarten mornings (7am – bussing to school): $100/month
Kindergarten afternoons (bussing from school – 6pm): $125/month
